What has not existed, until now, is a way for Americans who receive the COVID-19 vaccine to digitally report side effects and reactions and furthermore, a way to aggregate reported side effects and reactions into a central database.
Instead, up until this point those who get the vaccine have received a paper vaccination card, used by the U.S. government as a way to manually track who has been given vaccine doses, in addition to vaccination clinics taking the step of “reporting to their state immunization registries what vaccine was given.”
